Environment Editor Peter Thompson brought together reports from Haiti, India, China and the U.S. to show how basic sanitation, unavailable to a significant proportion of the earth’s people, can be made accessible. Thompson profiled a group of MIT students who came up with a solution and won $100,000 to fund their endeavors.
